This is my blog.

I’m Adam. I live in South Carolina, I work with AI, and I build iOS apps on the side.

I’ll write here about what I’m working on and what I learn along the way. Some posts will be about AI, some about code, some about whatever else seems worth writing down.

That’s it. Thanks for reading.

This deserves a little bit more elaboration. The truth is I hate writing. I don’t consider myself a particularly decisive or skilled writer. To any of you who know me personally, you know that in person I literally can’t stop talking. But for some reason, as long as I can remember, when I am asked (and in the past, I always had to be asked), I will suddenly become incredibly unsure of what I want to say. There are typos. There are run-ons. Chaos. Pandemonium. You get the idea.

So… why on earth am I starting a blog / professional website for myself?

Answer: I have no idea, but as I get older, it becomes clear to me that my thinking is more muddled than I would like. I tell people these ideas I have had, but I don’t have as many opportunities to share them. My friends are scattered and people are busy with their own lives. My goal is twofold, I guess:

  1. Have a place for my views of the world and the ideas I have — a low friction, low precision place to store them and advance them.
  2. Provide a location for projects and guides that I create for my friends and the internet at large.

I have a friend who is very, very good at this. Inadvertently, I stole his theme for this blog. (Sorry Seth!) He has been an inspiration in a lot of ways, and I am really proud of what he has been able to build.

My family is the biggest thing I flew by in this original post. I may give some additional information about that or not, depending on what the blog becomes.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope my blog finds something helpful for you.
